The Blizzard Trauma Blanket is designed to treat hypothermia in trauma patients who require immediate assistance at the time of evacuation.
The Blizzard Trauma Blanket prevents heat loss in the trauma patient in cases of bleeding, burning, exposure to water, and immersion. The cellular network of Reflexcell material traps warm air, while the metalized surface reflects heat to the patient and prevents heat loss.
Appropriate bandaging is required to restore and control the casualty’s bodily functions. Improperly applied tampons and bandages cause discomfort to the casualty, infection, difficult transportation and even worsen the injuries. Therefore, all individual fighters should be able to use bandages and tampons well.
NIO is easy to learn, easy to teach, and one of the fastest vascular access methods. It has been developed by working with EMT personnel, military paramedics, and first aid teams. NIO proves its efficacy in several studies conducted on intraosseous infusion.
Up to 98% success in proximal tibia access and 91% in humeral access were achieved in clinical studies. Additional studies have provided zero formation of micro-fractures in the bone and rapid fluid transfer by performing an average procedure time of 18.3 seconds.
